Rouxls Lalonde. Is this anything
On a more culturally relevant level, the heavy use of mysteries involving unintuitive game mechanisms reminds me of the first 3 Homestuck acts, in terms of piecing together slightly abstract symbols and systems, figuring out who the major characters even are, and so forth.
To me that will always be the one little author/audience/work interaction that encapsulates the entire comic.
After posting page 4712 of Homestuck, Hussie wrote a reply stating the implied Nepeta/Jaspersprite pesterlog would never be shown because such a conversation could not possibly have any story relevance whatsoever. Then 8 months later on page 5794 we ended up seeing it anyway.
So you're telling me… the latest version of this software not only fricks up the browser chrome in mimicry of each of the comic's website themes, but it ALSO monkeys with the taskbar icon? At this point, even I'm scared.

• The purple guys are the nobility
• Each character has a typing quirk (repetitive -desu variant)

🌚The Puchi Carat characters are named after gemstones, so they're Steven Universe gems
🌞The Puchi Carat characters are named after birthstones, so they're Homestuck trolls
Land Maker (arcade game) is "what if Sburb (from Homestuck) was a real videogame and it existed 11 years earlier"
Awhile ago I did a tweet announcing I'd discovered that, according to official 07th Expansion material, Keiichi Maebara (the protagonist of Higurashi) has the same birthday as John Egbert (the protagonist of Homestuck). But then I deleted it, because the world is simply not ready
Using an acutely obscure Homestuck reference in an analogy while conversing with a friend has the same satisfaction as horking up a disgusting regexp into your code, fresh off your lobes, and having it just work.
