All I'll say is that I didn't not NOT not beat Jokerless again, instead of doing literally anything else with my life.

My review of Jokerless is that it feels a lot more "roguelike" than the other modes… builds have to be locked in from the start; the "power items" are the wax seals and certain vouchers (Telescope etc.); starting levels are very swingy; resources (cash) beget more resources.

Balatro players calling scored chips "damage" has the same energy as board game players calling winning victory points "lethal".
You see, if the player-character in Universal Paperclips had simply invested a couple hundred dollars in some quality Balatro jokers to exponentially increase paperclip output, it would have saved a lot of time and resources in the long run.

Balatro adding "rental jokers" in the latest update is so funny. Only way it could have been funnier is if they were called "subscription jokers" and you had to select a payment option ($3 per round or $8 per ante), one of which was labeled "HOT" arbitrarily.

I opened a Tarot Pack in Balatro and the only card inside was the Black Pierrot from Magical Drop 2 ;_;
I like Balatro's Erratic Deck, mainly because it points you toward build possibilities out the gate, but now I just want a deck that's made of the contents of 20 Standard boosters, like Magic The Gathering sealed.

People are wondering why Balatro's taken off. Is it the animations? The card variety?
I'm here to say: it's the exponents. It's the line curving up to Heaven to uppercut God. That's the juice. It's why Puyo Puyo is still played today despite being a self-proclaimed form of hell.

Fringe theory that Balatro had to carefully delay its 1.0 release until 2024 because then people would no longer say its Jokers look like NFTs
